Dr. Faisal Manzoor Arain is a seasoned academic and construction project management expert, holding an MS and PhD in Construction Project Management. With a career spanning Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and Canada, he has excelled in leadership roles within academia and industry. Dr. Arain completed a Leadership Development Program at Harvard University and led the establishment of Canada’s first Bachelor of Science in Construction Project Management at SAIT in Calgary. He also chaired the Saskatchewan Higher Education Quality Assurance Board’s panel for evaluating new baccalaureate programs. Dr. Arain’s industry experience includes roles as an Architect, Project Manager, Director, and Consultant. He has published over 120 research papers, 12 books, and 2 book chapters, and is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Construction Project Management. As an expert member of the World Association for Sustainable Development, he has served on boards such as Value Analysis Canada and the Canadian Green Building Council, and chaired INTBAU Canada. His academic leadership includes positions as Chair of Construction Project Management at SAIT, Associate Dean at NAIT, and Senior Principal/Senior Dean at Niagara College’s Saudi Arabia campuses. Dr. Arain also served as Vice President Academic in Alberta and Ontario, and as President of Willowbank School of Restoration Arts. Dr Tadashi Hara, boon on September 11, 1974, is a Professor and Vice Director of the Disaster Prevention Division at Kochi University, Japan, specializing in geotechnical engineering. He earned an M.A. and Ph. D. in civil engineering form Chuo University, Japan. Prof. Hara’s career includes roles at NEWJEC, Co., Ltd., Chuo University and Wakayama National College of Technology. His research focuses on earthquake-resistant structures, liquefaction mechanism, wood and gabion technology, and reservoir reinforcement, and he has authored 165 papers and 15 technical books. He manages JICA projects, particularly in Nepal, to develop disaster-resistant infrastructure. He lectures at Ehime University and University of Kochi Health Sciences and contributes expertise internationally in disaster management and training.

After graduating from Kochi National College of Technology in April 1984, Dr. Toshihiko Nagatani worked for Central Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd. (NEXCO) and has extensive experience in bridge engineering in the construction and maintenance of expressways for 40 years. In the construction of Japanese expressways, he was responsible for the design and construction of many new bridges on several expressways. In the conservation business, he has been engaged in bridge conservation of old expressways as a bridge engineer in charge of surveys, diagnosis, design and construction technology for repair, reinforcement and renewal. He also worked for 10 years in the Bridge Department of Japan Expressway Research Institute Co., Ltd. and served as the head of the Bridge Department in 2021. During that time, he has studied the fatigue durability of concrete decks for many years and has also conducted research on the fatigue strength of PC decks and durability performance evaluation of deck life extension using repair methods. As a result of these research results, he received his PhD in Engineering from Hosei University in March 2023, and last year he received the Sir Benjamin Baker Award at the British Institution of Civil Engineers' ICE Awards 2024 for his work on "Fatigue Durability of Reinforced Concrete Bridge Deck Repair Methods." Dr. Nagatani currently works in the Structural Technology Department at Central Nippon Highway Engineering Tokyo Co., Ltd. (CN-het Co., Ltd.), where he serves as a technical advisor for bridges.

Prof. Askar Zhussupbekov is the Director of the Geotechnical Institute and Professor of Civil Engineering at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Kazakhstan. With over four decades of academic and professional experience, he has made pioneering contributions to geotechnical and foundation engineering, particularly under complex soil conditions in Central Asia. Prof. Zhussupbekov has served as Vice-President of ISSMGE for Asia, chaired multiple international committees, and delivered keynote lectures in more than 60 countries. He has supervised over 70 doctoral and Ph.D. dissertations and authored 300+ scientific publications and books. His distinguished honors include the Honorary Doctor of SPBGASU (Russia), Best Professor Awards, and national medals recognizing his contributions to science and engineering. Prof. Zhussupbekov continues to advance geotechnical innovation through international collaboration and leadership in major infrastructure projects across Kazakhstan and beyond.

Architect and Urban Planner Julio Cesar Perez Hernandez is a scholar, educator, visionary, historian, and published author considered a world-class expert in Cuban architecture and urbanism. He is a Professor at the University of Notre Dame’s School of Architecture since 2017 where he was Visiting Professor during the Fall Semester of 2012. As an academic, he has lectured and taught in the most prestigious institutions of the United States, Canada, Europe, Costa Rica, Cuba, and Bermuda. Author of the books Inside Cuba (2004) and Inside Havana (2011), published by Taschen, and “The Tradition of Courtyards in Cuban Architecture” published by Andelani Press in 2025, he has also penned numerous professional articles published in international journals. His academic and professional work has appeared in several international publications and exhibited in Cuba and the US Perez Hernandez became the first and only Cuban Loeb Fellow in Cuba’s history in 2002at Harvard University Graduate School of Design where he was selected as the 2012-2013 Wilbur Marvin Visiting Scholar. He is the author of “A Master Plan for 21st Century Havana”, a comprehensive urban plan registered at the Library of Congress in 2006, among other urban plans for other cities and neighborhoods, some of them recipients of several awards.

Zhongsheng Guo got his doctor degree in the Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University, now, he is a professor in Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University, China. He put forward the theory of resources use limit by plants, the theory of vegetation carrying capacity, the theory of critical period of regulation of plant resource relations and the new theory of soil and water conservation. This is the theoretical basis for high-quality development of forest, grass, agriculture and soil and water conservation. Since June 2022, he is Head of "innovation China" Agricultural high-quality production and industry Service Group.

Dr. Takashi Nakayama is the Chief Manager of the Facilities Department, Railway Business Division of Nankai Electric Railway Co., Ltd. He is also a Director of C. S. Inspector Co., Ltd. He earned his Ph.D. from The United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Ehime University. Since 1995, he has been engaged in the maintenance of railway civil engineering structures and tracks. He currently oversees the maintenance of railway facilities such as civil engineering, architecture, tracks, signals, and electricity as a Chief Manager of Nankai Electric Railway Co., Ltd., and since 2020 has worked as a researcher at C.S. Inspector Co., Ltd., where he is working on developing a method to evaluate the rainfall infiltration status of embankments in real time.

Dr. Hiroshi Nakazawa is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology at Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology, Japan. He earned his Master’s degree from Tokyo University of Science and began his career in 1996 as an engineer at Kiso Jiban Consultants Co., Ltd. In 2000, he returned to academia as a research associate at Tokyo University of Science, where he initiated pioneering studies on the liquefaction characteristics of unsaturated soils. He received his Doctorate in Engineering in 2007, with research focused on seismic behavior and liquefaction potential of soils. Dr. Nakazawa has held key research and leadership positions at the Port and Airport Research Institute and the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience, where he directed full-scale seismic experiments and developed design methodologies for earthquake-resistant infrastructure. His expertise lies in geotechnical engineering, particularly soil liquefaction, seismic design, and disaster resilience.

Dr. Prabowo is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Tarumanagara, where he teaches in both the undergraduate and postgraduate Civil Engineering programs. He earned his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from The University of Hong Kong (ranked in the Top 30 of the QS World University Rankings). His doctoral research focused on bearing failure in cold-formed stainless steel and was fully supported by the prestigious Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme—an award granted by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council to the top 1% of global talents. His research was also sponsored by Outokumpu, a leading global producer of stainless steel. Dr. Prabowo is an active researcher in the areas of green construction materials, cold-formed steel structures, modular steel structure design, as well as seismic and fire-resistant design of steel structures. Beyond his academic and research work, Dr. Prabowo serves as an editor and peer-reviewer for several national and international civil engineering journals. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Jurnal Mitra Teknik Sipil (UNTAR). He has also served as a reviewer for several leading international Scopus-indexed journals, including the Journal of Constructional Steel Research (Q1), Steel and Composite Structures (Q1), Earthquake and Structures (Q3), and the Mindanao Journal of Science and Technology (Q4). Prof. Suksun Horpibulsuk obtained a B.Eng. (Civil Engineering) with Honors Award from Khon Kaen University, Thailand in 1996. Prof. Suksun was subsequently granted a scholarship by the Royal Thailand Government to pursue a M.Eng. in Soil Engineering at Asian Institute of Technology and duly completed in 1998. He then received a prestigious MONBUSHO scholarship from the Japanese Government to pursue his Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering at Saga University in Japan that he duly completed in 2001. Prof. Suksun joined Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) as a lecturer in 2002. His outstanding research, teaching and service for the university, community and profession over the years was duly recognized when he was promoted to the level of full professor in 2010. He is an associate fellow of The Royal Society of Thailand, as well as a professor of School of Civil Engineering and a founder director of Center of Excellence in Innovation for Sustainable Infrastructure Development at SUT. He is also an Academic Senate member of SUT and Rajamangala University of Technology Isan. He is presently the president of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) – Thailand Chapter, an adjunct professor at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia and a visiting professor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia. He also serves as an editor and reviewer for several prestigious national and international journals. His most significant contributions have been in the field of ground improvement techniques and pavement engineering, specifically issues associated with compaction, earth reinforcement, chemical stabilization and sustainable rigid and flexural pavements. Ken Yeang is an architect, ecologist and author known for his pioneering work on ecological architecture (since 1971). His work integrates ecology-based principles with architectural structures promoting environmentally-positive ecological biointegration and outcomes. The architecture is differentiated by its nature-centric design based on the science of ecology. He is regarded by many to have invented a systems-based ecological architecture. Dr. Suman Manandhar, a distinguished Senior Research Fellow (equivalent to Professor) and a founder member of the Global Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies (GIIS), Nepal, is a geotechnical engineer/engineering geologist, conducted Post-Doctoral Research at Kyushu University and served as Guest/Visiting Associate Professor at Saga University, Japan. Dr. Ryu Noda holds a Ph.D. in Bioresource Science from Akita Prefectural University. After graduating from the Department of Forest Science, he spent approximately 13 years as a mountain disaster prevention consultant, where he was engaged in field investigations of natural disasters and the research and development of disaster mitigation infrastructure. Since 2013, he has served as a research fellow at Kyushu University and later as a lecturer at Akita University. His areas of expertise include forest civil engineering and timber engineering. His research focuses on the development of disaster prevention facilities aimed at mitigating natural hazards and promoting rapid forest recovery. In particular, he explores the structural performance of timber-based facilities, evaluates their environmental impacts, and analyzes their economic ripple effects on local communities. Through this multifaceted approach, Dr. Ryu Noda seeks to advance sustainable and regionally integrated disaster prevention technologies.

Amin Ramezantitkanloo is a PhD Student in Civil Engineering at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Poland. He earned his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering-Structural Engineering from Semnan University, Iran. His academic background is rooted in structural mechanics, with a particular focus on seismic performance, structural stability, and finite element modelling. His current research focuses on the evaluation of anchorage systems and scaffold connections, specifically investigating the static behaviour of anchors and joints and their impact on overall scaffold stability and safety. This work aims to address critical safety and design challenges in temporary support structures and proposes methods to improve their reliability under various loading conditions. Amin Ramezantitkanloo has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed articles in international journals and conferences. One of his notable publications, “Problems of Monitoring Critical Elements of Scaffolding,” appeared in the Archives of Civil Engineering, highlighting innovative approaches to monitoring vulnerable components in scaffolding systems. He has actively contributed to research projects involving finite element modelling using ABAQUS, and is proficient in tools such as SAP2000, ETABS, and AUTOCAD. Beyond research, he has significant teaching experience as a teaching assistant and software instructor at multiple institutions in both Iran and Poland, delivering courses in structural dynamics, elasticity theory, and civil engineering design software. Estovio Timothy is a Predoctoral Fellow at the College of Engineering, Peking University in Beijing, China, and a Structural Engineer at Shanghai Construction Group Co., Ltd. in Shanghai. At Peking University, he is also involved as both a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant, supporting work in finite element methods, fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, ordinary differential equations, and probability. Alongside this, he is a Graduate Student in Civil Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, USA, where he received the Departmental Award for Research Excellence, and he has also been recognized as an awardee of the MIT Data, Economics, and Design of Policy (DEDP) program. His research focuses on performance-based, multi-objective optimization of aerodynamically tuned core-tube systems for supertall buildings in hurricane-prone environments. By combining aerodynamic simulations, finite element analysis, and evolutionary optimization algorithms, he explores how to enhance structural resilience against extreme wind loads while improving efficiency and sustainability. Earlier in his career, he developed Indonesia’s first comprehensive wind hazard map and carried out pioneering studies on tornado-induced wind fragility, work that significantly improved the regional understanding of extreme wind effects on structures. Professionally, Estovio has been closely involved in the design of landmark projects, including an 85-story, 301.5 m tower for his master’s thesis and the tallest building in Indonesia and the Southern Hemisphere, a 385 m supertall tower. These projects built his expertise in lateral load–resisting systems, aerodynamic design strategies, and the complex behavior of tall structures under multiple hazards. His international project portfolio covers China, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Australia, Vietnam, Malaysia, India, Timor-Leste, and Mongolia, giving him broad exposure to different design codes, construction practices, and climate challenges. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering through an accelerated fast-track program. Currently preparing to pursue a Ph.D., his research interests revolve around multi-hazard disaster risk reduction, performance optimization of high-rise structures, and the development of climate-adaptive, low-carbon urban infrastructure that bridges research and real-world practice.

Born on December 3, 1986, he holds a Ph.D. in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering from the University of Uyo (2024), an M.Eng. in Soil and Water Resources Engineering (2021), an M.Sc. in Land Reclamation and Restoration from Cranfield University, UK (2015), and a B.Eng. in Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Minna (2011). His research focuses on soil remediation, water quality, wastewater treatment, and environmental sustainability, with expertise in modeling hydrocarbon-contaminated soils and nutrient recovery. Dr. Ehiomogue has published extensively in international journals and serves as an Associate Editor for the Umudike Journal of Engineering and Technology and Earth Science. He is a member of professional bodies, including the International Association of Engineers and the Nigerian Society of Engineers. A recipient of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund Scholarships (2013, 2019–2023), he teaches courses in engineering hydrology, hydraulics, and soil conservation, and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students. He is an invited speaker at the 4th International Summit on Civil, Structural, and Environmental Engineering in Prague (2026) and actively contributes to academic and community service.

Ishak Brahimi is a civil engineer with a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of M’sila, Algeria (Class of 2021). His academic and professional background covers the study and supervision of construction projects, including roads, highways, buildings, and civil engineering structures. His Master’s research focused on the dimensioning of crane girder beams for overhead cranes, integrating Eurocode standards and advanced numerical modeling. Professionally, he has worked with B. CONSULT Engineering Consulting Firm and the Technical Studies Office for Public Works and Buildings, gaining expertise in site monitoring, structural design verification, quality control, and project management. He is currently working as a civil engineer with a construction contractor, where he is involved in the design, execution, and monitoring of civil engineering projects. His skills include the use of advanced engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Robot Structural Analysis, and ANSYS. His research interests involve structural optimization, numerical modeling, Eurocode-based design, and the development of simplified approaches for engineering practice in Algeria.

I was born on November 6, 1983 in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. After graduating from high school, in the school year 2002/03, enrolled at the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Civil Engineering - Department of Civil Engineering. University of Tuzla. He graduated in September 2008 and earned a degree in civil engineering. In November 2013, he successfully defended his master's thesis before the Commission on the above topic, and acquired the title of Master of civil engineering - specialization in hydraulic engineering. In the academic year 2018/19, enrolled in the postgraduate study III cycle - Phd study at the University of Tuzla at the Faculty of Mining - Geology - Civil Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, specialization in hydraulic engineering. In November 2025, I will present my doctoral thesis entitled "ASSESSMENT OF THE QUANTITY OF DEPOSIT IN HYDROACCUMULATION USING THE "SWAT" MODEL, FOR THE EXAMPLE OF MODRAC ACCUMULATION", and obtain the status of Doctor of Technical Sciences, scientific field: Hydrotechnics. I am a participant in many scientific and professional meetings, with sixteen scientific papers published.

Prof. Hamida Bencheikh is a Stat Architect with MPhil and PhD degrees, currently serving as Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Amar Telidji University, Laghouat, Algeria. He leads the Bioclimatic and Transfer Phenomena research team within the Civil Engineering Laboratory. His research focuses on bioclimatic architecture, sustainable construction, and energy-efficient design. Prof. Bencheikh has carried out numerous research projects on passive cooling roofs, passive solar heating systems, earth-to-air heat exchange systems, and solar chimneys for natural ventilation. He has also explored passive solar distillation, green urban spaces for microclimate cooling, and rammed earth buildings for improved energy efficiency. Utilizing advanced simulation tools such as OpenStudio and EnergyPlus, his work promotes innovative, low-energy building solutions adapted to arid and semi-arid regions. Prof. Bencheikh’s academic contributions significantly advance sustainable architecture and environmental engineering practices.

Dr. Ahmad Modhej is a structural engineer and inventor specializing in advanced energy dissipation systems for seismic protection. He is the principal designer of viscohyperelastic and viscoplastic dampers, as well as the developer of high axial damping rubber (HADR) materials. His innovations are supported by extensive numerical simulations, laboratory experiments, and ISI-indexed publications, with one patented device already implemented in a real project. Dr. Modhej currently serves as the Technical Director of a construction company within a holding group, focusing on innovation, documentation systems, and performance improvement in building projects. His work bridges the gap between academic research and practical engineering applications.

Hamid Nadi holds a PhD in Biology with a focus on natural resource management and biodiversity conservation. He works at the Laboratory of Biology and Health, Department of Biology, Faculty of Sciences, Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra, Morocco. His professional activities include conducting experiments on the physicochemical properties of groundwater and studying the exploitation of aquaculture resources. He also explores marine environments and the use of marine aquaculture resources. Additionally, he conducts research in groundwater bacteriology.
